Hi again! Last weekend I was attending the great modelling show Euromilitaire and it was a great experience as always meeting new and old friends. I recived a higly commended in the bust class and  a comended in the class for comercial figures over 65mm. I also bought alot of new figures and this figure was one of them. It is from the producer Robert Chaudon and the scale is 1/8. I really like the characther in his face so I just had to start this wonderful figure. There are no explanation to what characther the figure portrays. But I consider to paint him as a undertaker during the western era or maybe a freaky circus manager of some kind. I started painting this figure today (Sunday) and this is how far I have reached by now.

Regards!

Swedish peasant soldier 16th-century

Hi! I thought it was time for an update on this blog because a lot of time has gone since I presented something new here.

I´ve got this figure at the last World expo in Montreux last year. It is a limited edition from Pegaso sculpted by the talented Andrea Jula. The orginal figure portrays the famous story of Wilhelm Tell and his son after he has shoot an apple on his son´s head. I decided to convert the kit to represent a rebellian peasant soldier wich is welcomned by his son while he is coming home. The scene takes place in the southern part of Sweden during the uprisal against the king Gustav Wasa in the 16th-century when a peasant army fought against german Lanskecht´s wich had been hired by the swedish king. Those mercinaries suffered big losses because they were illsuited for this kind of warfare.
